Shani Vakra Drishti: In Hindu religious scriptures, Shani Dev is considered the god who gives the results of deeds and the judge. In astrology, Saturn is considered to be the most important planet among the nine planets. One thing is very popular about Shani Dev that on whomever he casts his crooked gaze, his wrath is sure to fall on that person. Everyone is afraid of the crooked aspect of Saturn.

People fast and worship Shani Dev on Saturday to please him. So that they can be saved from the evil eye of Shani Dev, but do you know that even the god of gods Mahadev and the most revered Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, could not escape from the evil eye of Shani Dev. Let us know that interesting story.

according to legend…

Mahadev is also the guru of Shani Dev. According to the legend, one day Shani Dev reached Mount Kailash to meet his Guru Lord Bholenath. After meeting him he said to Mahadev that Lord! Tomorrow I am going to enter your zodiac sign. That means my evil gaze will fall on you. Shiv ji was shocked after hearing this. Then he said to Shani Dev that for how long will your evil eye remain on me.

Shani said that Lord, from tomorrow my evil eye will remain on you for three hours. The next day, Lord Shiva appeared on earth and started wandering in the Kokila forest in the guise of an elephant. So that Saturn's sight does not fall on them. Throughout the day, Bholenath roamed the earth in the form of an elephant. In the evening, God assumed his real form and returned to Mount Kailash, where Shani Dev was waiting for him.

Lord Shiva went from divine form to animal form.

As soon as he saw Shani Dev, Lord Shiva said that your crooked vision had no effect on me. After listening to Bholenath, Shani Dev said, Lord! From my point of view neither any god nor any demon has survived. You too were affected by my crooked vision throughout the day. Due to my crooked vision, you were forced to go from the form of a god to the form of an animal throughout the day. This is how you became the object of my crooked vision.

According to another legend, Shani Dev reached Mount Kailash on the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, son of Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati. Here he was walking with his eyes down. Then Parvati ji asked Shani Dev the reason for this. Shani Dev told that anyone can suffer fatal harm due to his sight, but Parvati ji ridiculed Shani Dev. Meanwhile he called his son Ganesh ji there.

Lord Ganesha's head was cut off due to the influence of Saturn's vision.

As soon as Ganesh ji reached Shani Dev, his eyes fell on the son of Mother Parvati. Due to its impact, his brain got cut off and separated from his torso. Seeing this, Parvati ji became unconscious. After regaining consciousness, he cursed Shani Dev to become limbless. Due to the curse of Goddess Parvati, Shani Dev had a problem in one of his legs. This slowed down his walking speed.
