Celebrating AAP’s victory in Punjab, Kejriwal said – I have not seen an honest CM like Bhagwant Mann.

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal along with Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann held a mega road show in Bathinda and thanked the public for the party’s landslide victory in the Municipal Corporation elections. Seeing the huge crowd and enthusiasm of the people in the road show, Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Punjab are very satisfied with the functioning of the Bhagwant Mann government in four years. He expressed confidence that Bhagwant Mann will become the Chief Minister again in 2027.

On this occasion, he said that till now there have been many Chief Ministers in Punjab, but almost all of them were accused of corruption. At the same time, till date Bhagwant Mann has not been accused of even a single penny of corruption. He said that if there was any such allegation, the central government agencies would have investigated and taken action on a daily basis. On this occasion, many senior leaders including AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia were also present.

Public expressed gratitude on victory in Municipal Corporation elections

During the road show, Arvind Kejriwal thanked the public for the big victory of Aam Aadmi Party in the municipal elections. He said that the AAP government has completed four years in Punjab. At the end of the tenure of earlier governments, there was resentment among the public, but today happiness and satisfaction are clearly visible on the faces of the people. He said that Aam Aadmi Party had come into politics only with the purpose of working and even after four years, the public support proves that people are happy with the functioning of the government. He termed the spectacular victory in Bathinda as the people’s seal of approval on the government’s work.

Target on opposition regarding corruption and law and order

Arvind Kejriwal said that when he came to Bathinda during the 2022 assembly elections, he was told that various types of illegal fees were collected from people here. He claimed that now such systems have ended and corruption has reduced. Taking aim at various political parties, he said that there are many parties present in the politics of Punjab, but Aam Aadmi Party has established itself as a party working for the people. He said that people have made it clear through their votes in the recent elections that they give priority to politics of development and public interest.

Big message given regarding 2027 elections

Arvind Kejriwal said that there is a discussion going on in political circles regarding the possible deadline for the assembly elections and now party workers should start preparing for the upcoming elections. He said that in the last 75 years, Punjab has seen many Chief Ministers, but leadership with an honest image like Bhagwant Mann has been rare. He claimed that in the last four years, there has been no allegation of corruption against the Chief Minister, his family or any cabinet member. Kejriwal said that the government has deployed the saved resources in the public interest. Referring to schemes like free electricity, expansion of health facilities and financial assistance for women, he said that many works are still left and public cooperation is necessary to complete them.

Bhagwant Mann also expressed gratitude to the public

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also thanked the people for being elected mayor of Aam Aadmi Party in Bathinda. He said that despite the scorching heat, people participated enthusiastically in the voting and gave a big mandate to the party. He said that facilities like Aam Aadmi Clinic, better schools and hospitals have expanded in Punjab. Students of government schools are performing better in national level examinations. Electricity is being provided to farmers during day time and canal water has been supplied to remote areas. The Chief Minister said that these are the achievements that connect the government with the people and bring real change in the lives of the people.

Chief Minister also spoke on agriculture and irrigation system

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this time the paddy crop is being planted on a large scale with canal water. He claimed that there is enough water available for irrigation in the state and farmers will not face water shortage. He said that the water level in Bhakra Dam is above the normal average, due to which sufficient water is expected to be available for the agricultural sector in the coming times also. The Chief Minister said that the government is making continuous efforts to provide better irrigation facilities to the farmers.
