DON'T MISS A MOMENT OF THE WORLD CUP
Ranking the Best and Worst FIFA World Cup Collaborations: Topo Chico, CHARLY, Guinness, Levi’s, Nike, Patta and More
From Patta and Nike Netherlands to Topo Chico and CHARLY, global brands are unveiling exclusive apparel collections in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.
As the world’s biggest football event draws nearer, luxury fashion houses, consumer goods companies and sporting brands alike are rolling out customised jerseys, limited-edition collaborations and capsule collections. It’s turning into a competition to see who can design the most eye-catching jersey, statement T-shirt or elegant yet functional polo.
With so many brands racing to seize the World Cup spotlight, GOAL reviews the standout hits and surprising misses among these collaborations.
I will wear pretty much anything else
Patta x Nike Netherlands
This collection is loud, bold and full of character — perhaps too much so. Featuring a range of items including an anthem jacket, shirt and Mercurial boots, it pays tribute to the traditional Dutch lion motif. Yet, the addition of gold chains feels out of place and distracts from the otherwise strong concept.
Drake’s NOCTA x Nike Canada
The line’s motto, “Outsiders will never understand, insiders will never explain,” perfectly encapsulates its mysterious aura. While many fans are excited about this crossover between Drake’s NOCTA brand, Nike and the Canadian men’s national team, the overall vibe leans more towards a Halloween horror theme than a football celebration. The result fits its own tagline — hard to understand and even harder to explain.
Unsure
Aéropostale x World Cup
It’s refreshing to see nostalgic retail names from the 1990s joining the World Cup bandwagon, but Aéropostale’s small capsule feels like it could have pushed boundaries further. It’s playful and stylish but doesn’t explore textures like knits or lace as creatively as some others have done.
BOGGI Milano x FIFA
This collaboration pays homage to history while nodding to the future. Through a collection of polos and T-shirts, Boggi Milano celebrates the colours of the eight nations that have lifted the FIFA World Cup. Although sophisticated, it may be a touch too refined for those who prefer sportier designs.
Jacquemus x France National Team
French design never fails to impress, and this collaboration is no exception. However, while other brands are experimenting with bold departures, Jacquemus plays it safe. The pre-match jersey is quintessentially French, with royal blue tones and elegant red-and-white vertical pinstripes — stylish yet predictable.
We like where it's going
Loewe x Spanish National Team
Loewe has become the official partner of Spain’s national football teams for the next four years. The brand’s designs will define the players’ off-field attire for travel and tournaments across North America, Spain, Portugal and Morocco. The tailored suits exude sophistication and confidence, making the team look as sharp off the pitch as they do on it.
G-DRAGON’S PEACEMINUSONE x Nike South Korea
The “Tigers of Asia” collection blends sleek design with cultural depth. The pre-match jersey features a unique hidden pattern on the back, while track jackets and fleece suits carry Nike’s signature energy. The floral detailing, vibrant colours and traditional references give the entire collection a distinct charm that stands out.
Palace Skateboards x Nike England
There’s something oddly captivating about Wayne Rooney reciting Shakespeare as part of this campaign. Whether it leaves you intrigued, amused or tempted to buy everything from the line, there’s no denying that this collaboration has flair.
Hollister x Kappa
For those nostalgic about early-2000s style, this pairing is a dream come true. Hollister’s entry into football brings back vintage beach vibes with short shorts, soft pastels and oversized jerseys. Kappa keeps things sporty and sleek, while Hollister introduces the brand to a younger Gen Z audience.
Get that thing on for real
Topo Chico x CHARLY
Topo Chico and CHARLY, the renowned Mexican sportswear label, deliver a winning performance with their World Cup-inspired collection. Beyond jerseys, the range includes hats, scarves, bomber jackets, T-shirts and sweatshirts — each piece showcasing impeccable detail. The standout green and yellow kits feature bubble motifs and stripes, with the green version’s yellow collar adding a lively contrast.
Levi’s x U.S. Soccer
Denim and football may seem like an unlikely pair, but Levi’s has made it work brilliantly. Their World Cup range, developed in partnership with several federations, merges nostalgia with modern cool. The U.S. Soccer collaboration in particular shines — from ringer tees and bandanas to cleverly curated launch visuals. The brand enlisted Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis, co-founders of LA streetwear label Kids of Immigrants, to model the collection, amplifying its authentic appeal.
Will never take off
Guinness x Art of Football
Here’s a toast to Guinness and Art of Football for this standout collaboration. Whether it’s the allure of the brand or the design itself, the end result is impressive. The jersey proudly bears Guinness’ signature deep hues, harp emblem and logo — a perfect blend of sporting culture and timeless pub charm. With Guinness brewed in 49 countries and sold in over 150, its global reach makes this partnership feel fittingly international.
PUMA x Ahluwalia
This collaboration serves as a heartfelt tribute to Africa in the lead-up to the World Cup. It features laceless sneakers inspired by early-2000s designs, available in red, yellow, black and green, along with a muted grey-and-black version. The apparel line continues the theme, incorporating African prints, abstract imagery of cheering crowds, stadium energy and nods to the Nigerian flag. Every piece feels both vibrant and meaningful — a collection worth coveting.
