On Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hailed the commencement of commercial operations at the Noida International Airport in Jewar as a significant milestone for western Uttar Pradesh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and the aviation sector of the nation. Addressing farmers who contributed land for the project, he attributed the success of this initiative to their support and the government's commitment to timely completion.

Reflecting on the project's early stages, Adityanath noted that the state cabinet had approved the proposal, setting strict deadlines for officials. He mentioned that he had instructed the district magistrate and other authorities to initiate the land acquisition process within 100 days. Despite initial challenges, the farmers placed their trust in the government, and any opposition during the acquisition was resolved through dialogue.

Discussing the transformation of the area, the Chief Minister pointed out that Jewar, once plagued by crime and lack of infrastructure, is now emerging as a major development hub. He emphasized that the airport would enhance cargo facilities, aircraft maintenance, and global connectivity, reducing India's reliance on foreign hubs. Adityanath also highlighted upcoming infrastructure projects under the Yamuna Authority, including the Tata Center of Excellence, various skill development programs, degree colleges, medical facilities, a trauma center, and an indoor stadium for nurturing Olympic-level talent.

He concluded by stating that this is just the beginning, with Jewar now etched in history. The Chief Minister assured that training would be provided to youth for new opportunities in aviation and industry, thanking the farmers, including women participants, for their contributions. He reiterated that this project exemplifies the double-engine government's commitment to development and timely execution.
