Local Hero Gaurav Achieves Lieutenant Rank in Indian Army

Through unwavering dedication and hard work, Gaurav, the son of Shri Balbir Singh from Rajiayana village, Ward No. 1 near 53 Mile in Kangra district, has proudly attained the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army. His official commissioning took place on June 13, 2026, as part of the Military Cadet Course (MCC).


With a commendable service record of 13 years in the Indian Army, Gaurav has consistently demonstrated integrity and commitment. While serving, he also pursued further education, ultimately achieving his dream of becoming an officer through hard work, discipline, and self-belief.


His accomplishment has filled not only his family with pride but also the entire Rajiayana village, Nagrota Bagwan, and the surrounding area. Gaurav's journey serves as a beacon of inspiration for the youth, illustrating that with clear objectives and persistent effort, any goal can be achieved.


It is significant to mention that Gaurav’s father, Shri Balbir Singh, also dedicated his life to the nation, retiring as a Subedar from the Indian Army. Gaurav attributes his success to the foundational values imparted by his parents, the steadfast support of his wife, Mrs. Varsha Kaushal, the mentorship of senior officers in his unit, and the encouragement from friends and family.


On this extraordinary achievement, community members, dignitaries, and relatives have come together to extend their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for Gaurav's promising future.
