Houston. In its first match of the World Cup on Sunday, Germany defeated Curacao 7-1. Felix Nmecha scored the fastest goal of the tournament and then added a penalty in first-half stoppage time, which Kai Havertz converted.
The four-time champion team maintained its dominance in this Group E match from the very beginning. This match was against the smallest country to qualify for the World Cup.
