The 3-match ODI series between India and Afghanistan is starting from today (June 13). The first match of the series is to be played at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala but the threat of rain has increased the tension of the fans.
According to the Meteorological Department, the probability of rain in Dharamshala today is 55%. The match is to start at 1:30 pm. According to Accuweather, the probability of rain at this time is 49%. And after half an hour i.e. at 2 o’clock the chances of rain are around 70 percent.
Dharamshala and its surrounding areas received intermittent rain yesterday. There are chances of rain even today. However, there is a strong possibility of rain at the beginning of the match itself. The weather will be clear in the evening. There is no chance of rain after 7 o’clock. This means that overs may be cut due to rain disruptions but the match will take place and the result will also be known.
For the first time, a bilateral ODI series is being played between India and the Afghan team. Before this, both the teams have faced each other in ODI format only in Asia Cup and World Cup. During this period, 4 matches have been played between the two, in which India has won 3 matches. There is one match left on tie.
Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are out due to injury. Ishan Kishan can play at number-3 in place of Kohli. Nitish Kumar Reddy will replace Hardik. Captain Shubhman Gill and Rohit Sharma will be seen opening. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will be responsible for the middle order. There are Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav in the spin department.
