Tuchel faces no major injury concerns ahead of the opener, but doubts remain over Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, who is reportedly struggling to prove his fitness in time.
As a result, his Arsenal teammate Noni Madueke may be handed a start on the right flank, while Barcelona target Anthony Gordon could replace former Blaugrana winger Marcus Rashford on the left.
Tuchel is also expected to favour Jude Bellingham over Morgan Rogers in the number 10 role.
It remains uncertain whether Ezri Konsa, John Stones, or Marc Guehi will partner in defence ahead of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
