Persib Bandung’s midfielder, Marc Klok, has revealed that he is rooting for the Netherlands national team to perform strongly at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, although he also enjoys watching and supporting teams from other countries.

Klok openly mentioned that he admires and supports Morocco, France, and Spain as well. “For the World Cup, I support the Netherlands, but I also enjoy watching other teams like Morocco, France, and Spain. I really enjoy their games and support them too,” Klok said, as quoted on Persib’s official website.

His enthusiasm for the world’s most prestigious football tournament goes beyond simply watching it on television.

The number 23 player shared his plans to travel to the United States to experience the electrifying stadium atmosphere firsthand.

Although he did not specify which match he intends to attend, Klok mentioned that he plans to fly to Miami next week. “I will be heading to Miami and will watch one World Cup match live next week,” he added.

In the latest match, both teams shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw. The Netherlands’ goals were scored by Virgil van Dijk (50') and Crysencio Summerville (64'), while Japan’s goals came from Keito Nakamura (57') and Daichi Kamada (89').

With Summerville’s goal in the 64th minute, the Netherlands briefly took the lead in Group F of the 2026 World Cup. However, resilient Japan managed to level the score again, repeating their earlier equalizer 14 minutes prior, securing one valuable point.

The match began cautiously, with both sides displaying disciplined play at the Dallas Stadium.

The game gained momentum when Virgil van Dijk headed in a cross from Ryan Gravenberch to open the scoring.

Japan, who previously defeated Germany and Spain during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, once again demonstrated their fighting spirit after conceding the early goal.
