POS-KUPANG.COM, SOE – A devoted Spanish national team supporter from SoE, South Central Timor Regency (TTS), Bimbo Missa, remains optimistic that his team will deliver an impressive performance in their upcoming match.

Although Spain’s national team drew in their opening Group H fixture of the 2026 World Cup against Cape Verde, Bimbo believes they will make a strong comeback in their next outing.

Spain is expected to secure victory in their next match when they face off against Saudi Arabia’s national team.

Bimbo Missa admitted that before Spain’s match against Cape Verde, he had predicted a 3-0 victory for Spain, but in reality, the teams had to share the points.

Nevertheless, Bimbo noted that Spain’s play in their opening game was quite good, with continuous attacking pressure on the opposition, though Cape Verde’s defence proved difficult to break.

“The performance was already very attacking, but the opponent’s defence was extremely organized. Perhaps the hot American weather also affected the players’ stamina,” Bimbo said after watching the Spain vs. Cape Verde match on Tuesday (16 June 2026).

He is confident that Spain will claim victory in their next fixture against Saudi Arabia on Sunday (21 June 2026).

“For the next match against Saudi Arabia, Spain will definitely win,” Bimbo said confidently.

Since the start of the World Cup, Bimbo has been organizing public viewing sessions in Sabun Village, Boking District, TTS. When contacted via WhatsApp, he confirmed that he was in Sabun Village, Boking District, watching the matches along with local residents.

Bimbo is also a passionate Real Madrid supporter. He explained that his loyalty to Spain’s national team stems from his admiration for Real Madrid, which represents Spain on the global stage.

According to him, Spain will field a full-strength squad, featuring star players from top Spanish and English clubs currently representing the country at the 2026 World Cup.

He is confident that Spain will emerge as the winner of Group H. Bimbo also highlighted Marc Cucurella as his standout player.

Sharing a bit of his background, Bimbo said he has been a fan of the Spanish national team since 2002, during the era of Luis Figo, and continued his support through Spain’s 2010 World Cup triumph.

“This time, Spain comes with strong self-belief. They have already won the World Cup once in 2010, proudly carrying one star on the left side of their jersey. I believe we will add another star in 2026 in the World Cup held in America,” he concluded. (any)
