The issue of theft of donations from Ram temple is hot. Opposition parties are continuously making various allegations against Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. Now Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has made a big allegation against Champat Rai. Sanjay Singh said that low-cost land in Ayodhya was purchased at very high rates with the money donated from every corner of the country in the name of Ram Temple. He alleged that there was massive corruption in the purchase and sale of this land.
Sanjay Singh alleged that on April 2, 2024, Champat Rai had purchased a Nazul land of 645 square meters in Ayodhya. The price of this land was around Rs 2 crore 92 lakh. But this land was bought by Champat Rai for Rs 24 crores. That means land worth Rs 3 crore was purchased for Rs 24 crore. Also, the money donated to the temple by people from across the country was used to buy it. This clearly shows that its purchase and sale was done illegally.
Sanjay Singh alleged that on July 22, 2024, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Ayodhya confirmed that the land purchased was indeed Nazul (government) land. This clearly shows that this deal was illegal. Sanjay Singh said that Nazul land is government land and it cannot be bought or sold. He alleged that the seller was Mahant Murali Das, a disciple of Baba Puran Das, and the buyer was Champat Rai, while a person named Mithileshwar acted as a witness.
Earlier, Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav had also targeted Champat Rai. Akhilesh Yadav had said that Champat Rai played an important role in the embezzlement (theft) of crores of rupees in temple donations. Because everything of the temple was in his hands. Senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar, associated with the Ram Mandir movement, also raised questions on Champat Rai over alleged irregularities in donations. He said that everything will be known when the stick is used. Who is behind this sin?
