The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the application correction window for the September 2026 session of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Candidates who have already submitted their applications can now make changes to their forms by visiting the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in. According to the CBSE, candidates can log in using their application number and password to avail of the correction facility.

Changes can only be made to the specific details outlined by the board. The board has stated in its notice that no further requests for corrections will be accepted once the correction window closes. The deadline for making corrections to the application is June 18.

What is the purpose of the CTET exam?
The CTET exam is conducted for candidates aspiring to become teachers in central government schools—including Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other schools that accept CTET scores across the country. Paper I is for candidates wishing to teach classes 1 to 5, while Paper II is for those wishing to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates aspiring to teach classes 1 to 8 may appear for both papers. 

When will the CTET September 2026 exam be held?
The application process for CTET September 2026 began on May 11, with the deadline set for June 10. The exam is scheduled for September 6, and admit cards will be released two days prior. It will be conducted in 27 languages ​​across 132 cities nationwide. Although the CBSE has not yet announced the result date, it is expected that the results will be declared by the end of October 2026.
