There is a major update for young people in Uttarakhand preparing for government jobs in the medical sector. The Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UKMSSB) has invited applications to fill 196 vacant Nursing Officer posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online. **Separate Posts for Female and Male Candidates**
A total of 196 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. Of these, 157 posts are designated for female Nursing Officers, while 39 posts are for male Nursing Officers. In the female category, 126 posts are reserved for diploma holders and 31 for degree holders. In the male category, 31 posts are allocated for diploma holders and 8 for degree holders.

**Qualification and Age Limit**
Applicants must possess a GNM, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Additionally, permanent registration with the Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council is mandatory. Candidates must be between 21 and 42 years of age; the age calculation will be based on July 1, 2025.

**Selection Process and Salary**
Candidates will be selected based on an objective-type written examination carrying 200 marks. The duration of the exam will be three hours. This will be followed by document verification and a medical examination. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 under Pay Matrix Level-7.

Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay a fee of ₹300. Meanwhile, the application fee for SC, ST, EWS, and PwD candidates from Uttarakhand has been set at ₹150. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the board's official website.
