Lenovo has officially unveiled the Tab Plus Gen 2the follow-up to its entertainment-focused tablet, bringing meaningful upgrades to audio, display, design, and software, all at a consumer-friendly price. The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 octa-core processor and comes in various configurations, offering between 6GB to 12GB of RAM and 128GB to 256GB of storagewhich can be expanded via a microSD card up to 2TB.

Display and design upgrades
The tablet boasts an upgraded 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 800 nitssupporting HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The surface is treated with a special coating that reduces glare. The device features a more substantial 10,200mAh rechargeable batterywhich Lenovo estimates will allow for up to 15 hours of YouTube viewing before requiring a recharge. The front-facing camera remains at 8 megapixelswhile the rear camera has been enhanced to 13MP with autofocus. The device ships with Android 16 out of the box, and Lenovo has committed to providing two years of Android OS updates along with four years of security patchesensuring user protection until 2030.
JBL 9-speaker audio system
Similar to its predecessor, the Gen 2 is outfitted with a Dolby Atmos-tuned speaker system that combines tweeters and woofers to enhance bass output, but now with 9 JBL Pro speakers instead of 8. The audio system supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audiogiving it a bigger sound or far better bass response than any other Android tablet at this price. The tablet can double as a portable Bluetooth speakerallowing you to transmit sound from other devices.

The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is expected to be available in select global markets with a starting price of $399.99 USD. In India, the initial price of the Tab Plus Gen 2 is $399.99 (approximately ₹37,000), while in the European Union it starts from €429.01 (about ₹52,000). The model is already available for purchase in the international market, with the European store price at €479.01 for higher configurations.
