Manchester United are reportedly exploring a move for Crysencio Summerville as part of a potential double signing from relegated West Ham United.
The Dutch international is among several players being considered as United look to strengthen the left wing position in Michael Carrick’s squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Although discussions remain in the early stages, the club is also showing interest in midfielder Mateus Fernandes, with both players from West Ham under consideration as part of United’s summer recruitment strategy.
Fernandes has drawn widespread attention following his performances last season and could become a key component in United’s planned midfield overhaul. The club is also closing in on a £35 million deal for Brazil international Ederson from Atalanta, who is expected to become their first signing of the summer window.
Summerville, who netted his maiden international goal for the Netherlands during their 2-2 draw against Japan at the World Cup, joined West Ham from Leeds United two years ago for a fee of £25 million.
He was named the Championship Player of the Year for the 2023–24 season and enjoyed a fine run of form earlier this year, scoring in five consecutive matches for West Ham in January and February. However, despite his individual performances, the Hammers were unable to avoid relegation.
Meanwhile, Manchester United could see the return of Marcus Rashford to Old Trafford, with Barcelona yet to activate their option to make his loan move permanent. Nevertheless, the England international’s future remains uncertain, as the club may still decide to sell him during the summer transfer window.
