Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited France to attend the G-7 summit, where President Emmanuel Macron gave a warm welcome. Then when PM Modi was returning home after completing his foreign trip, Macron once again bid farewell to him in a unique way. The President posted a video for PM Modi in which he described the Prime Minister as his dear friend in Hindi and said that France loves you.

President Macron posted a farewell video in Hindi for PM Modi yesterday Thursday. In the video, Macron said, “Dear friend Narendra, I am very happy to welcome you for a visit to Nice, Avion and Paris, long live the friendship of France and India.” After speaking this line in Hindi, Macron also said, “I hope it was right.”

President Macron thanked PM Modi for his visit to France and described the visit as 'very meaningful'. He also expressed hope to meet again in February next year. "Thank you very much for your visit. Thank you for our friendship. It has been a very meaningful visit. France loves you. We look forward to seeing you again soon in February. Jai Hind," Macron said.


Earlier, PM Modi had reached the Mediterranean city of Nice on June 13 in the first phase of his two-nation Europe tour, where he inaugurated the India Innovates program with President Macron and also held a bilateral meeting.

Then from there PM Modi completed his 'historic' visit to Slovakia. He is the first Prime Minister of the country to visit Slovakia. Coming back from Slovakia, PM Modi attended the G7 summit held in Evian city of France on Tuesday and Wednesday, where India was invited as the guest country.

PM Modi left for New Delhi on Thursday after completing his visit to two countries, France and Slovakia. PM Modi said in a social media post about the visit, "This visit to France was very good in terms of interactions and outcomes. It started with the 'Bharat Innovates' event in Nice, followed by Avion for the G7 and then events in Paris, where I addressed 'VivaTech 2026′ and a community event, and also met CEOs of many companies.'

Thanking President Macron, PM Modi said, "I am especially grateful to my friend President Macron, the Government of France and the people of France for the warm welcome. India-France friendship will become stronger in the times to come."
