Paulson, 70, and de Almeida, 37, are set to hold a lavish three-day wedding celebration in Monaco in June 2027, and the guest list is expected to include a number of high-profile figures from their social circle.

Paulson maintains close ties with Albert II, Prince of Monaco, a relationship believed to have influenced the couple’s choice of venue, according to Page Six.

The ceremony is expected to take place at Villa La Vigie, an estate overlooking Monte Carlo Beach that rents for around US$22,000 per night and has an Olympic-sized swimming pool, private beach access, upscale restaurants, and a luxury spa.

The villa also boasts a rich cultural legacy. Artist Pablo Picasso once used its garage as a studio, while its distinguished guests over the years have included American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald, former British prime minister Winston Churchill, French poet and filmmaker Jean Cocteau, Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, and German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.

A reception is reportedly planned at Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, home to the three-Michelin-star restaurant Le Louis XV Alain Ducasse, terraces, landscaped gardens, and a number of several banquet halls.

“We’re excited about our wedding in Monaco and to be welcoming our second child,” de Almeida told Page Six. “My life is like a dream come true.”

Paulson said: “We chose Monaco because it’s ultra-sophisticated and elegant. It’s the creme de la creme of Europe. All our friends are going to love going there.”

Born in Montclair, New Jersey, U.S., de Almeida is a nutrition specialist who completed clinical nutrition training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, which is affiliated with Columbia University and Cornell University, according to her nutrition consultancy website, Effective Lifestyle. She has worked as a weight-loss coach in hospitals and private clinics.

The couple became engaged in April 2024 after three years of dating. Paulson is best known for his bet against the U.S. housing market before the 2008 financial crisis, a trade that reportedly earned him $20 billion.

In an interview with Page Sixde Almeida spoke about her hopes of building a family with Paulson.

“I know John will make a great father.”

“He is a wonderful partner who brings out the best in me and has encouraged me to take my career to the next level. He is incredibly supportive, patient and caring.”

Paulson, whose current net worth is estimated at $4 billion by Forbesseparated from his first wife, Jenny, in 2021 after 21 years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in May 2026 following a lengthy and highly publicized legal battle over the division of assets. They share two children.
