A major update has been released for NEET UG 2026 candidates. A new exam center has been designated to replace the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Center in Prayagraj. Here are the details...

If you are appearing for the NEET UG 2026 exam and your allotted center was the Harivansh Rai Cultural Center in Prayagraj, this news is crucial for you. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to change the exam center prior to the examination and has issued new admit cards for the affected students.

According to the notification issued by the NTA, the change in the exam center has been made due to administrative reasons. It has been reported that construction work is underway at the old center and there is no electricity supply; consequently, based on the recommendation of the relevant committee within the district administration, the decision was made to conduct the exam at a different building.

Therefore, the NTA has issued a notification stating that candidates whose exam center was the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Cultural Center (Allahabad University) must now appear for the exam at the new center.

What is the new exam center?

As per NTA instructions, the exam will now be conducted at the Department of Medieval and Modern History, Senate House Campus, Allahabad University.

New admit cards issued

The NTA has released new admit cards for the affected candidates. Students can download the updated admit card from the official website using their login credentials. However, students holding the admit card for the old center may also be permitted to appear for the exam at the new center following verification.

Candidates are advised to recheck their admit cards before the exam and arrive at the center early on the day of the test to confirm details and avoid any inconvenience. If students face any issues while downloading the admit card, they can contact the NTA via the helpline or email.

Candidates are advised to carry their updated admit card and an identity proof with them on the day of the exam. Given the change in the center, it is advisable to plan travel and timing in advance. This is to ensure that you do not face any difficulties at the last minute. Pay close attention to the reporting time at the examination center and adhere to the official instructions. Additionally, candidates should not rely on rumors or information circulating on social media; consider only official updates to be accurate. Regularly check the official website for the latest information regarding the examination.
