UK based private equity firm Actis has offloaded 98.28 Lakh Cr shares of  fintech major Pine Labs via a block deal worth ₹151.6 Cr.

As per NSE data, the firm, via its holding entity Actis Pine Labs Investment Holdings, sold the shares at ₹154.25 apiece. The block deal was sealed at a price 1.3% higher than the stock’s closing price today (₹152.30). As of now, the identity of the buyer could not be discerned.

This is the third instance of a Pine Labs institutional backer offloading stake within the previous month. While Madison India offloaded 2.48 Cr shares in a bulk deal on May 22, Invesco pared off stake worth ₹115.1 Cr.

Actis first acquired a stake in the fintech major in 2018, when it led its $82 Mn funding round. The investor last offloaded shares worth ₹194.7 Cr in the company’s IPO in November 2025. As of March 31, 2026, it continued to hold 2.14 Cr shares or 1.86% stake in the company.

The multiple bulk deals come shortly after the expiry of the lock-in period of the company’s shares.

However, the company’s stock has been under pressure over the past few months. On a year to date basis, the company’s shares have shrunk by about 35%.

Meanwhile, the fintech major’s financial performance is gaining traction. In Q4 FY26, Pine Labs posted a consolidated net profit of ₹59.4 Cr as against a loss of ₹28.9 Cr in the year-ago quarter while operating revenue rose 15% YoY to ₹700.5 Cr.

For the full FY26, Pine Lab posted its maiden profitable year in FY26, reporting a net profit of ₹112.5 Cr against a loss of ₹145.5 Cr in the previous fiscal. The company’s top line spiked 19% to ₹2,710.6 Cr from ₹2,274.3 Cr in FY25. For the ongoing fiscal, Pine Labs has maintained a FY27 revenue growth guidance in the range of 21%-23.5%.

To bolster its performance, the company has also been increasing its focus on AI. During its Q4 earnings call, CEO Ambrish Rau said AI-generated code now accounts for a large share of software development at the company.

Besides, Pine Labs has also partnered with OpenAI to develop AI products for local markets and plans to launch new AI-led products focused on commerce and payments.

Pine Labs shares closed at ₹152.3 on the BSE on June 19, up 1.67%.
