Alas! What kind of Apple ad is this? No song, no beats… only chaos is heard
Google on Tuesday launched the first stable version of its latest Android 17 update, which is currently rolling out to eligible Pixel devices. Android 17 introduces a new bubble feature. This will allow users to convert any app into a floating window. It requires users to long-press on an app icon, then any app can be turned into a ‘compact’ floating window. On devices with larger screens such as foldables and tablets, these bubbles will appear in a dedicated bubble bar in the lower right corner of the screen. Users can directly switch between different bubbles after clicking on the app icon available in the dock.
The Android 17 update will also introduce the Screen Reactions feature to the device. In this, users will be able to record their screen and themselves simultaneously from their phone’s front camera. This allows live reaction to what is seen on the screen. The camera feed is superimposed on the screen recording, making both recordings appear as a single clip. Google has also updated the screen recording and annotation tools to bring a new toolbar.
Android 17 update brings a dedicated ‘Foldable Gaming’ mode for foldable Android handsets. After turning on this feature, the on-screen gaming controls appear in the form of a dedicated gaming pad at the bottom of the screen. Google is gearing up to release this new gaming mode for foldable phones in the coming months. Thanks to a new feature in the Android 17 update, users can now grant apps temporary access to their location. Additionally, these OSes allow users to share selected contacts with apps instead of sharing the entire contact list.
