Patna: The cricketing landscape in Bihar is witnessing a remarkable transformation. Following the rise of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made headlines by joining the Indian team at just 15 years old after his impressive IPL performances, his younger brother Ashirwad also gained attention by scoring 103 runs in 87 balls for the Tajpur Cricket Academy in Samastipur.

Now, another prodigy has emerged from the state, this time in women's cricket. Meet 15-year-old Akshara Gupta, who recently achieved an extraordinary feat by scoring a triple century in the Bihar Women's U-19 One Day Trophy. Representing Raxaul, Akshara amassed an astonishing 306 runs not out off just 126 balls, featuring 55 fours and 8 sixes.

While many teenagers are still dreaming of success, Akshara Gupta is already making history. Her remarkable innings has put her name in the record books, showcasing her talent on a grand scale. The cricket community is taking notice of her rapid ascent through the ranks of age-group tournaments.

Akshara's story is truly inspiring. Hailing from a modest background in Raxaul, East Champaran, Bihar, she began her cricket journey at the tender age of eight. Despite the lack of formal coaching facilities, academies, or even a girls' cricket team in her town, she persevered.

Under the mentorship of her uncle, Akshara dedicated herself to training for approximately five hours daily on a small pitch in her backyard. Her father, Raj Kishore Shah, who operates a chicken shop, and her mother, Reena Devi, a homemaker, have been incredibly supportive of her aspirations. To facilitate her practice, her father even constructed a practice net in their garden, while her mother ensured she maintained discipline by waking her up at 5 AM with a glass of milk for her morning runs. Akshara is the eldest among her siblings, which includes two sisters and one brother.
