On Saturday, Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena (UBT), shared a mysterious message on social media. This post surfaced during speculation that six Lok Sabha MPs from the party might join the faction led by Eknath Shinde. Raut posted an image featuring the Hindi phrase "कुछ लोग कुत्ते तो होते हैं, लेकिन वफ़ादार नहीं होते" (Some may be like dogs, but they are not loyal), captioning it with "जय महाराष्ट्र!" (Hail Maharashtra!). This message comes at a time when Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray's faction could face another significant split. The previous rebellion in 2022, led by Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, had already altered the party's dynamics.

The political crisis deepened on Thursday when six out of nine Lok Sabha MPs from Shiv Sena (UBT) did not attend a parliamentary party meeting held in New Delhi. Only Arvind Sawant, Anil Desai, and Rajabhau Waje were present. The absent MPs included Nagesh Ashtikar, Sanjay Deshmukh, Sanjay Jadhav, Sanjay Dina Patil, Omprakash Rajenimbalkar, and Bhausaheb Wakchoure. In response to their absence, Raut accused them of violating the party whip and announced disciplinary actions against them.

Speaking to reporters, Raut labeled those who once identified as Shiv Sainiks as cowards, asserting that true Shiv Sainiks do not exhibit cowardice. He questioned why they were hiding in Jaipur if they were confident in their stance. He mentioned that show-cause notices had already been issued, and the party would seek to revoke their Lok Sabha memberships. Raut emphasized that actions were underway to disqualify these MPs, stating that if the Lok Sabha Speaker adheres to the rules, laws, and Supreme Court directives, these individuals would be deemed ineligible.
