Mukesh Ambani's company Reliance Jio has introduced its new AI based device Jio Teleframe at RIL AGM 2026. The company is calling it a central hub of AI agents for the home, which will be able to handle many tasks through a single interface. This voice-first system will help users by understanding their needs, habits and preferences. Along with this, Jio has also announced major upgrades in its home connectivity plans and AirFiber service. Let us know about Jio TeleFrame…
Jio Teleframe has been designed as a voice-first AI hardware system. According to the company, users will not need to open separate apps for different tasks. This device will provide the facility to interact with multiple AI agents through a single interface. Jio says that different agents can handle tasks like entertainment, shopping, guest management and smart home control. Teleframe will try to understand the household's routine, preferences and needs and will provide assistance only when the user has given permission. The company has also claimed that this system will support Indian languages.
Jio showed several uses of Teleframe during the demo. According to the company, it can remind family members about important things like doctor's appointments. Based on weather information, it can also give advice like carrying an umbrella. In another example, Jio showed that a guest planning agent can help prepare for a festival lunch. It can create a list of essential items, give food suggestions based on past preferences and keep an eye on the status of delivery. The company says that its aim is to make everyday tasks easier and more organized.
According to Jio, Teleframe's entertainment agent can launch streaming apps, control lighting and volume and can also monitor live scores of sports matches. The company has also introduced a new multi-frame viewing feature for JioHotstar, which will allow users to watch four different streams simultaneously. This may include cricket matches, TV shows and live news channels. Apart from this, Jio Home is also going to get a big speed upgrade. The company claims that the next generation AirFiber service will provide download speed up to 5Gbps and upload speed up to 1Gbps, so that cloud gaming, video calling, streaming and other high bandwidth tasks can be done more smoothly.
