NEET: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct a mock drill on Saturday to evaluate the readiness for the NEET-UG re-examination, which is slated for June 21. To ensure the integrity and transparency of the re-exam, over 5,500 centers have been fortified. Security will be managed by a contingent of 200,000 to 250,000 police personnel.

In addition, 15,000 paramilitary forces will be responsible for the secure transportation of question papers and the collection of answer sheets. To promote transparency during the examination, 150,000 cameras and 15,000 jammers have been installed. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh confirmed that the mock drill will take place from 9 AM to 8 PM, involving police, paramilitary forces, district administration, and on-duty personnel.

Most examination centers are already equipped with CCTV cameras, and the NTA has taken control of the camera feeds. Monitoring will occur not only at the NTA headquarters in Delhi but also at various other locations. A dedicated team will oversee the surveillance of classrooms and exam centers, while the district administration and police will manage the entrances and surrounding areas.

**Exam Under Three-Tier Security Cover**
A senior official indicated that a single security perimeter was previously in place for NTA exams. However, due to past exam leaks and irregularities, a three-tier security system has been implemented. The outer perimeter will be overseen by the District Magistrate's team, the second by state-level authorities, and the innermost by a special security team from the central government. Senior officials have been assigned to ensure strict adherence to security protocols, with live monitoring conducted through separate CCTV feeds. Clear responsibilities have been established, and any lapses will result in action against government personnel.

On the exam day, states including Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh will provide transport for students. State governments in NDA-ruled areas have committed to offering transport and other necessary amenities.

As of now, over 18 lakh candidates have downloaded their admit cards, just two days before the exam. To aid students, 'advance city intimation slips' were issued ten days prior, allowing them to plan their travel to the exam centers effectively.

During a meeting with Chief Secretaries, the NTA emphasized the importance of ensuring adequate electricity and water supply for the exam. Provisions will include drinking water, backup power supplies, portable toilets, and emergency health services. Light snacks will also be available for students with dietary needs.

22.80 lakh students registered
A total of 22.80 lakh students have registered for the NEET-UG exam, with approximately 3.5 lakh opting to change their exam centers. The exam will be conducted in 551 cities across India, totaling 5,500 centers, with additional locations abroad. Every student has been assigned their preferred exam center.
