Ederson has officially confirmed that his transfer to Manchester United is virtually completed, with the Atalanta midfielder telling Sky Sport that “it’s practically almost all sorted,” indicating that only the final signature remains to seal one of Serie A’s most high-profile summer exits.
The Brazilian international, who is currently representing the Seleção at the World Cup, emphasised that his immediate focus remains on helping his national team before turning his attention to finalising his club transfer.
“I have to make the most of this moment,” he stated in comments carried by TuttoSport.
“Being here is something truly special, an experience one must always cherish and live to the fullest.”
So far in the tournament, Ederson’s involvement has been limited. He began on the bench in Brazil’s opening match against Morocco before appearing as a substitute in the subsequent victory over Haiti.

Manchester United are expected to pay around €45 million to Atalanta for the midfielder — a substantial profit for the Bergamo-based club, who had originally signed Ederson from Salernitana for a much smaller sum.
The 26-year-old has been among Serie A’s most consistent and dynamic midfielders over the past four seasons, making him an attractive acquisition for United, who are bringing in a player operating at the peak of his career.
The transfer is anticipated to be formally completed once Brazil’s World Cup campaign comes to an end.
