Many people dream of running their own small homestay amidst the mountains. Calm atmosphere, beautiful views and life away from the hustle and bustle of the city often attract people towards this place. But there are many challenges behind this dream, about which outsiders do not know much. Recently, a homestay owner from Himachal Pradesh shared an incident that happened to her, which caught people's attention on social media.

Tarana Chauhan, who runs a heritage homestay named Nirvana Homes Rarata in Himachal Pradesh, posted a video on her Instagram account. In this video, he showed what condition his ancestral house had reached after the departure of some guests. Many people were surprised after watching the video, because things were scattered everywhere inside the house, many things were broken and the condition of cleanliness also appeared to be very bad.

What did the guest do?

Tarana told that this is not an ordinary house. This is his family's more than 100 years old ancestral house, which he converted into a heritage homestay with a lot of hard work and love. He left his corporate job and prepared this place so that people could have a different and memorable experience amidst the beauty of the Himalayas.

However, the behavior of some recent guests left him quite disappointed. It can be clearly seen in the video that garbage was spread in many parts of the house. Stains from food items were visible everywhere and the furniture in the rooms was also lying in disarray. The biggest damage was caused to the old wooden floor of the house, on which marks of chairs and furniture being dragged were clearly visible.

Tarana says that such old houses have their own special identity and heritage. It is not easy to maintain them. After years of hard work and care, they retain their original beauty. In such a situation, when guests behave irresponsibly, not only the goods are damaged but also the heritage that has been preserved for generations is harmed.

He was also saddened by the fact that the people who damaged the house did not give any information about it while leaving. If something gets damaged, it is considered a common courtesy to inform about it and take responsibility. But nothing like this happened here. He himself came to know about the loss later. He has shared this video on his Insta.
