Bihar Announces New Appointments for Minority Welfare Officers

Are you on the lookout for a government job? If so, this news is for you. A significant announcement has been made for the youth of Bihar. For the first time, minority welfare officers will be appointed across all blocks in the state. These appointments are expected to take place by December.


This initiative aims to enhance the welfare of the minority community and ensure that they benefit from government schemes effectively. Additionally, the minority welfare department will see new appointments for a total of 1,076 positions.

To expedite these appointments, the department has submitted a proposal to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) and the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC). According to the department, there will be six district minority welfare officers, 487 block minority welfare officers, eight lower division clerks (headquarters or directorate-secretariat clerical service), 14 lower division clerks (regional clerical service), 524 lower division clerks (Bihar collectorate clerical service), and 37 hostel managers.




Construction of Schools Planned


Furthermore, the construction of 22 residential schools for minorities, catering to grades 9 to 12, is set to be completed this year. Currently, two such residential schools are operational in Darbhanga and Kishanganj. Additionally, the construction of residential school buildings has been completed in districts like Katihar, Jamui, Kaimur, Nalanda, and Muzaffarpur. Smart classes have already begun in 75 madrasas across the state, and this facility will soon be available in more madrasas.
