Marcus Rashford’s prospects of securing a permanent move to Barcelona appear to have received a lift amid reports of renewed interest in former teammate Raphinha.

The 28-year-old forward spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan with the Catalan giants, helping the club clinch both the Spanish league title and the Spanish Super Cup. During the season, Rashford netted 14 goals and provided 14 assists across 49 appearances in all competitions.

Barcelona had the option to make the move permanent for £26 million, but ultimately opted not to trigger the clause following their £70 million signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

However, as per Talksport, Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest in Brazilian winger Raphinha, and any potential sale of the 29-year-old could reopen the door for Rashford’s transfer to the Camp Nou.

In another development, the Mirror reports that Manchester United’s pursuit of West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville has been complicated by the Dutchman’s impressive performances for the Netherlands at the World Cup.

The 24-year-old has been one of the standout players for the Dutch side in the USA, scoring twice so far. Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be keen on signing him, with an estimated fee of around £50 million circulating recently.

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur have placed a £45 million price tag on Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall, who has informed the club of his desire to leave during the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old is reportedly open to offers from European clubs that can guarantee him regular first-team football in his preferred position, following growing frustration with limited playing time under the north London side.

Meanwhile, Gazzetta Dello Sport claims that Juventus have added Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez and former Manchester City defender John Stones to their list of summer transfer targets.

Additionally, Teamtalk reports that Leeds United have lodged a £20 million bid for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles. The 22-year-old Northern Ireland international is said to be enthusiastic about a potential switch to Yorkshire.
