What are the latest rates for domestic gas cylinders?
In Delhi, a 14.2kg domestic LPG cylinder is available for around ₹853. Meanwhile, the price in Mumbai is approximately ₹852. In Kolkata and Chennai, the price of a domestic cylinder remains around ₹880.
New prices for 19kg commercial cylinders
Regarding commercial LPG cylinders, the 19kg cylinder is selling for around ₹1,730 in Delhi. In Mumbai, the price is approximately ₹1,680, while in Kolkata and Chennai, it has reached ₹1,850.
Price hike for 5kg cylinders
Recently, the price of the 5kg FTL (Free Trade LPG) cylinder also increased. Its price in Delhi is now around ₹821.50. These new rates came into effect on June 1, 2026.
Why do LPG prices change?
LPG cylinder prices depend on the rates of crude oil and gas in the international market. The value of the rupee against the dollar and transportation costs also play a significant role. If gas becomes more expensive in the global market, the impact is felt in India as well. This is why gas cylinder rates fluctuate every month.
