FULL TIME

That wraps up today’s FIFA World Cup coverage.

Join us again tomorrow as the final round of group stage fixtures kicks off.

Every team has now completed two matches.

Here’s how the group tables stand...

FULL-TIME: COLOMBIA 1-0 DR CONGO

Colombia secured a hard-fought victory to return to the top of Group K, confirming their place in the World Cup knockout stage.

The South Americans will now face Portugal in their final group encounter to determine who finishes first in the group.

However, the contest could have been far more comfortable had it not been for the outstanding display from DR Congo goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi.

Camilo Vargas produced a crucial save to deny Nathanaël Mbuku’s long-range effort.

Luis Díaz thought he had doubled the lead with a precise lob, but the flag went up for offside as the match reached the 80th minute.

GOAL FOR COLOMBIA

Daniel Muñoz finally broke the deadlock with a deflected left-footed strike that squeezed past Mpasi at the near post with just 15 minutes to play.

DR Congo responded energetically after the final hydration break, pressing for a potential equaliser.

Mpasi continued to command his area superbly, but Colombia kept piling on the pressure.

The DR Congo keeper denied Díaz again from point-blank range with an excellent reflex save.

Fan favourite Michel Kuka Mboladinga made his World Cup debut in the stands, cheering on his team passionately.

HALF-TIME

After a blistering Colombian start, DR Congo grew into the match following the hydration break. Despite both teams creating chances, the score remained 0-0 after 45 minutes.

Mpasi was exceptional in the opening stages, making several fine saves to keep James Rodríguez and Daniel Muñoz at bay.

Muñoz’s early header was ruled out for a narrow offside after Mpasi’s initial stop.

KICK-OFF

The match began at Guadalajara Stadium following the national anthems, with DR Congo’s viral fan Michel Kuka Mboladinga among the spectators. Néstor Lorenzo’s starting XI was announced shortly before kick-off.

FULL-TIME: CROATIA 1-0 PANAMA

Croatia earned a vital three points to keep their World Cup hopes alive, while Panama were eliminated after consecutive 1-0 defeats.

Captain Luka Modrić, making his 200th appearance for Croatia, received a standing ovation as he was substituted by Zlatko Dalić late in the game.

Despite Panama’s attacking surge, Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković made several crucial saves to preserve the lead.

GOAL FOR CROATIA

Substitute Ante Budimir scored the decisive goal with a smart back-post finish from Josip Stanišić’s cross shortly after coming on.

HALF-TIME

The first half ended goalless after a tense 45 minutes, with both sides registering just two shots. Panama’s Orlando Mosquera made a fine save to deny Martin Baturina, keeping his side in contention.

OFF THE CROSSBAR

Livaković pulled off a spectacular diving save to tip José Luis Rodríguez’s header onto the crossbar, although the play was later ruled offside.

KICK-OFF

The match got underway in Toronto with a lively crowd in attendance as Croatia and Panama took to the field.

According to Opta, England’s 78.8% possession was the highest ever recorded in a World Cup match (since 1966) by any team that failed to score. Ghana managed just two shots in response.

England have now drawn 23 matches at the men’s World Cup — more than any other country — with 13 of those ending goalless, another tournament record.

FULL-TIME: ENGLAND 0-0 GHANA

England missed two golden opportunities late on, failing to capitalise on their dominance and letting the chance to top Group L slip away. Ghana, with four points from two matches, are now well placed to progress to the Round of 32.

OFF THE LINE!

Marc Guehi’s header was cleared off the line as England pushed for a late winner.

OFF THE BAR!

Nico O’Reilly struck the crossbar before Harry Kane fired over from close range in stoppage time.

BIG CHANCE GHANA

Prince Adu raced behind the England defence and went one-on-one with Jordan Pickford, but Ezri Konsa made a crucial recovery tackle to deny him.

Manager Thomas Tuchel introduced Eberechi Eze and Morgan Rogers in search of a breakthrough.

CHANCE ENGLAND

Noni Madueke found Bukayo Saka with a cross, but the Arsenal forward headed over.

Minutes later, Kane tested Benjamin Asare from 20 yards out, but the Ghanaian keeper was equal to it.

Pickford survived a nervy moment when rushing out to clear a through ball, narrowly avoiding disaster.

Substitutions saw Saka and O’Reilly replace Anthony Gordon and Djed Spence as England continued to press.

Madueke then sliced a curling effort high and wide as frustration grew.

Declan Rice’s free-kick found Elliot Anderson unmarked, but his header was blocked by Kwasi Sibo.

England’s repeated attacks were snuffed out by Ghana’s disciplined defence. Bellingham went down in the box under pressure from Opoku, but no penalty was given.

HALF TIME: ENGLAND 0-0 GHANA

England dominated possession but could not find a way through Ghana’s compact and well-drilled setup. Kane’s shot was deflected behind for a corner, while Antoine Semenyo threatened at the other end before Guehi intervened.

Earlier, Madueke’s cross found Rice, whose header landed just over the bar, as England’s early pressure continued. Ghana held firm through the first-half hydration break.

KICK-OFF

The match kicked off in Boston with both teams fielding strong line-ups. England’s young midfield looked to make an impact, but Ghana’s experienced core provided resilience.

FULL-TIME: PORTUGAL 4-0 UZBEKISTAN

Portugal produced a commanding performance in Houston as Cristiano Ronaldo made history, leading his team to a resounding 4-0 win over Uzbekistan — a perfect response after the draw with DR Congo.

GOAL PORTUGAL!

Rafael Leão sealed the victory with a stunning strike into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Abduvohid Nematov helpless.

Uzbekistan’s Eldor Shomurodov nearly netted a consolation, firing just over the bar from a tight angle.

Ronaldo went close to a hat-trick with a fierce volley, but Nematov made an excellent stop.

GOAL PORTUGAL

Rúben Dias’ close-range effort took a deflection off Abdukodir Khusanov for an own goal, extending Portugal’s advantage.

Moments later, Ronaldo’s first-time shot from a rehearsed free-kick routine was smothered by Nematov.

Portugal remained in control after the break as Ronaldo’s brace and Nuno Mendes’ superb free-kick had already put them 3-0 up by halftime.

Ronaldo’s double saw him become the first player to score in six World Cups and the second-oldest scorer in tournament history.

Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes also impressed, with Fernandes providing two assists.

Portugal’s fluid attack overwhelmed Uzbekistan from the start, and coach Roberto Martinez’s side now look strong favourites to top their group.
