Lucknow. The war of words has once again intensified in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. This time All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has made a direct and sharp attack on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. AIMIM’s national spokesperson Shadab Chauhan has raised serious questions on Akhilesh Yadav’s politics and has put him in the dock. Shadab Chauhan alleged that while Akhilesh Yadav maintains silence on the alleged atrocities on Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, the same SP chief has come to the defense of Madhya Pradesh BJP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. After this statement, a fresh round of speculations has started in the politics of UP.
Actually, this whole controversy heated up when Akhilesh Yadav in a way supported Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The AIMIM spokesperson asked in a straight tone that what is Akhilesh Yadav’s relationship with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and the BJP Chief Minister that instead of questioning him, he has jumped into the fray to save them?
Shadab Chauhan, while cornering the SP chief, said that today the Muslims, Dalits and deprived sections of Uttar Pradesh are watching everything very closely. He alleged that Akhilesh Yadav is currently following the path of ‘soft Hindutva’ and that is why he is avoiding talking on core issues to the public. The AIMIM leader also raised sharp questions on the role of SP’s public representatives. He said that when there is atrocities on Muslims in Uttar Pradesh, action is taken at religious places or bulldozers are misused, then no concrete voice is raised from SP’s side.
Owaisi’s party spokesperson did not stop here. Taking the numerical strength of SP to task, he said that Akhilesh Yadav does not utter a word on incidents like mob lynching. He sarcastically asked that Samajwadi Party has 111 MLAs and 37 MPs, but why does this huge army never launch any major movement in favor of minorities and the deprived? Shadab Chauhan claimed that a large part of the Yadav community on which Akhilesh is doing politics has now become ‘BJP’, but still Akhilesh Yadav came in support of a BJP Chief Minister after allegations were made against him.
AIMIM has also made its strategy clear regarding the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2027. Shadab Chauhan says that the exploited, oppressed and deprived class in the state has now looked for an alternative to the Samajwadi Party. He claimed that AIMIM is emerging as a strong and new option for these sections in UP. The immense love being received from the public in the field is a clear indication that the party is fully prepared to bring a new revolution of justice in the 2027 elections. He made it clear that now there will be no vote bank politics only, but there will be equal participation and equality in politics.
If seen, after the results of the Lok Sabha elections, this rift within the opposition camp in Uttar Pradesh is going to increase further in the coming days. On one hand, while SP calls itself the biggest advocate of minorities and backward classes, on the other hand, AIMIM is now directly trying hard to break into this core vote bank of SP.
