UP Weather Today: In Uttar Pradesh today i.e. on June 25, 2026, the weather pattern is going to be hot and dry in most of the districts. In many parts of the state, the temperature remains between 40 to 45 degrees Celsius, due to which people may have to face extreme heat and heat wave. However, in some districts of Eastern UP, there are indications of increasing cloud and rain activities in the last days of the month. In such a situation, people may see a gradual change in the weather for the next few days. The maximum temperature in the capital Lucknow today is expected to be 42 degrees Celsius and the heat wave warning is in effect. There is a possibility of heat wave in Kanpur also with a temperature of 42 degrees. The heat is at its peak in Prayagraj and Banaras also, where the temperature of 41 to 42 degrees will increase the problems of the people. The effect of heat will continue in these districts till June 26, while there are signs of some relief in the weather between June 28-30.
There is a heat wave situation in Ayodhya today with a temperature of 41 degrees. In Ballia also the maximum temperature can reach 42 degrees. The weather will be clear in Banda but due to 41 degree temperature, intense heat will be felt throughout the day. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and light rain in these districts around June 29 and 30, due to which the temperature may drop.
Mainly clear sky is expected in Agra, Bareilly, Meerut and Hapur of Western Uttar Pradesh today. The temperature can reach 38 degrees in Agra, 37 degrees in Bareilly, 40 degrees in Meerut and 43 degrees in Hapur. However, rain and thunderstorm activities may increase in Meerut and Bareilly after June 29.
Currently, hot and humid weather will prevail in Basti and Gonda districts of Purvanchal. The temperature is likely to reach 42 to 43 degrees in Basti and 45 degrees in Gonda. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, clouds will increase from June 28 and there are chances of light to moderate rain on June 29-30. This can provide relief to people from the scorching heat.
The effect of extreme heat and heat wave will continue till June 27 in most of the districts of UP. Cloud cover may start in eastern and central Uttar Pradesh from June 28. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Ballia, Ayodhya, Banaras, Bareilly, Agra and surrounding areas on June 29 and 30. Due to this, the temperature may drop by 3 to 6 degrees. Overall, the weather will remain hot and dry in Uttar Pradesh today. Heat wave can increase the problems of people in districts like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Banaras, Ayodhya, Ballia and Banda, while by the end of the month, relief is expected due to entry of rain in many districts. In such a situation, people are advised to drink enough water and avoid going out in the afternoon to protect themselves from sunlight and heat wave.
