More than 300 houses razed to the ground in Delhi’s Yamuna Bazaar, Garza administration’s bulldozer

Bulldozer action has been taken by the administration in Yamuna Vihar, Delhi. The bulldozer action was started by the administration at around 6:30 in Yamuna market near Nigambodh Ghat. This action took place in Yamuna Bazaar in the presence of heavy police and paramilitary forces.

During this time, police have barricaded around Yamuna market. The administration had asked to vacate the house by Wednesday night. From time to time, people living here have received notices to vacate their houses. The people here claim that there are more than 310 houses here.

On June 2, DDA sent a notice to vacate by June 23 under the order of the Supreme Court and had said in the public notice that action would be taken from June 24. On May 13, a notice to vacate Yamuna market was sent under the Disaster Management Act. After the action of the notice, the administration started bulldozing action in this area on Thursday (June 25) morning.

Bulldozer action is to be taken by the administration on more than 300 houses of Yamuna Bazaar. The administration has already made preparations to raze all these houses to the ground. Around 5 bulldozer machines are also present at these houses. It is being told that this area is in flood affected areas. When there is flood in Yamuna, there is danger here, keeping this in mind this action has been taken.

During floods in this area, there is loss of life and property due to waterlogging. However, local residents say that many of their generations have passed here. He says that he also went to court but did not get any relief. Let us tell you that due to bulldozer action, all the roads leading to Yamuna market have been closed.
