Raipur. Chhattisgarh Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Aggarwal on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of Ramvangaman Tourism Circuit and the world's oldest theater Ramgarh located in Udaipur development block of Surguja district. During this, he reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Ramgarh Mahotsav, took stock of various arrangements and instructed the concerned officials to complete all the work within the stipulated time.

The Minister said that the Ramgarh Mahotsav, organized in the dignified presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, is an important event of cultural identity and pride of the state. Therefore, every arrangement at the venue should be well organized, safe and attractive.
During the inspection, Minister Shri Aggarwal closely observed various arrangements including Sitabengra, Hathi Pole, helipad, main stage, parking lot, pandal, meeting arrangements, power supply, drinking water, cleanliness and traffic management. Apart from this, he also reviewed the preparations for the exhibition stalls and departmental demonstrations set up by various departments. The Minister directed to give top priority to the safety and facilities of tourists especially in Sitabengra and Hathi Pol area.
The Tourism Minister directed the officials that the tourists and devotees coming to the festival should not face any kind of problem. For this, adequate arrangements of all basic facilities should be ensured. He said that it is necessary to have effective coordination between the departments to better manage the movement of visitors, traffic control, security management and planning of cultural programs. All departments should work with mutual cooperation and coordination so that the event can be conducted successfully and systematically.
Minister Shri Aggarwal said that Ramgarh Mahotsav is an important opportunity to give new identity to the rich cultural traditions, historical heritage and archaeological importance of the state. He said that this event will not only boost tourism activities but will also give new energy to local art, culture, folk traditions and employment opportunities. He expressed confidence that Ramgarh Mahotsav will attract tourists from India and abroad and will play an important role in establishing Surguja region as a major center of tourism.
The Tourism Minister said that Ramgarh Mahotsav is not just a cultural program, but it will become a powerful medium to give a new identity to the glorious historical, cultural and archaeological heritage of Chhattisgarh at the national and international level. He said that developing the Ramvanagaman tourist circuit along with the world famous Sitabengra and Jogimara caves as a major center of tourism is one of the priorities of the state government. Keeping this objective in mind, preparations for the two-day Ramgarh Mahotsav to be held on 29th and 30th June are being completed rapidly and in a quality manner.
During the inspection, Collector Mr. Ajit Vasant also instructed the officers of various departments to ensure timely discharge of the assigned responsibilities.
On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Mr. Vinay Kumar Agarwal, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department Mr. Virendra Chaudhary, Sub-Divisional Officer Mr. Ramraj Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Udaipur District Panchayat Mr. Ved Prakash Gupta and officers and employees of various departments were present.
