Arsenal have intensified their efforts to sign Leicester City’s promising youngster Jeremy Monga as part of their summer transfer plans.

According to reports from The Times, the Gunners have submitted an initial transfer offer worth £5 million for the highly rated 16-year-old forward. However, Leicester City have turned down the bid, holding out for a fee closer to £10 million, along with a 15 percent sell-on clause.

Monga’s rapid progress through the Leicester youth ranks and his strong performances in the Championship have drawn interest from several Premier League giants. During the 2025–26 season, the teenager made 27 appearances in England’s second tier, marking a breakthrough year in his young career.

Despite interest from Manchester City and Chelsea, sources indicate that Monga’s preference is to join Arsenal. The North London club are keen to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season, with a particular focus on the left flank.

Arsenal have also identified Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers as their main attacking target. However, Villa are reluctant to sell, given that Rogers remains under contract until 2031, putting them in a comfortable negotiating position.

Even so, Arsenal’s recruitment team remain optimistic about convincing Rogers to move, as the forward is reportedly eager to link up with Mikel Arteta’s Premier League champions.

While Monga could be secured for a relatively modest fee, he is viewed as a long-term investment rather than an immediate first-team option. The club’s pursuit of an experienced winger continues, especially with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s futures at the Emirates Stadium currently uncertain.
