Manchester United stars Millie Turner and Lisa Naalsund have shared some heart-warming personal news, confirming that they are engaged.

Both Turner and Naalsund have been vital contributors to United’s progress in recent years, playing pivotal roles in the team’s significant achievements, such as lifting the FA Cup and competing in the Champions League.

Turner, who began her football journey in United’s youth academy, later played for Everton and Bristol City before making a celebrated return to Leigh Sports Village for the club’s first professional Women’s Super League (WSL) campaign.

Renowned for her consistency and solid defending, Turner has been a cornerstone in United’s backline. In recent seasons, she has formed a strong defensive pairing with team captain Maya Le Tissier.

The 29-year-old overcame a serious knee injury and an arterial tear in 2022, demonstrating remarkable resilience. She has since extended her contract with Manchester United until 2028, securing her long-term future with the club.

Naalsund joined the Red Devils in 2023 and has faced her share of fitness challenges. Nevertheless, whenever manager Marc Skinner has relied on her, she has delivered steady performances in midfield.

During the 2025/26 season, the Norwegian midfielder recorded nine starts and seven substitute appearances in league matches, scoring three goals – including a memorable brace against Liverpool.

The two players have now confirmed their engagement, marking an exciting new chapter in their personal lives.

Turner and Naalsund shared the news with a collection of beautiful photos taken while on safari at Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Manchester United responded to the announcement with a statement saying, “We could not be happier for them!”

The 2026/27 Women’s Super League season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of September 4–6 and will conclude between May 21 and 23.
