Bollywood’s ‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini’s house is not just a house, but a living example of history, art and unwavering love. Recently, Hema Malini’s elder daughter and actress Esha Deol gave a rare and very beautiful tour of her 54-year-old historic family home. In a video shared by ‘CurlyTales’ on YouTube on June 25, Isha showed those corners of this luxurious house which are usually hidden from the world’s eyes.
Esha Deol shared a very surprising fact in the video. He told that for so many years this house had no official or government name. People knew it only as ‘Hema Malini Bungalow’. But recently, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar gave this house a very beautiful name ‘Advitiya’. ‘Unique’ means that there is no one else like it, i.e. extremely unique and mysterious.
This house is more than 50 years old. When Hema Malini came to Mumbai for the first time, she has been living at this place. The biggest feature of this house is that as soon as you step here, you will realize how deeply dance and Indian culture are ingrained in the roots of this family. The entry gate of the house is decorated with beautiful artworks made of bronze, in which different dance poses are depicted. The living room of the house is very grand. This room is not only for seating guests, but it is also a dance rehearsal hall. Hema Malini still practices her dance here every day. The floor of this room has been specially made of wooden flooring so that the feet do not slip while dancing. This hall is so big that 30 people can easily dance together in it.
New rejuvenation after the flood of 2005
Although this family has been living on this land for the last several decades, but due to the terrible floods in Mumbai in 2005, the original bungalow was badly damaged. After this, this dilapidated bungalow was completely renovated. Today this bungalow has been converted into a modern three to four storey building. Keeping in mind the privacy and convenience of the family, it has been divided into different floors. Out of which one floor is entirely for Hema Malini ji. The second floor is for Esha Deol. The third floor is for Isha’s sister (Ahana Deol). The special thing is that the interior and decoration of each floor has been done keeping in mind the preferences and personality of the members living there.
Strict eating rules and two separate kitchens
There is a very interesting arrangement regarding food and drinks in this house. Two separate kitchens have been made inside the house: Here is Hema Malini’s personal kitchen because Satvik and vegetarian food is prepared here for Hema Malini. No outsider or other family members are allowed to enter this kitchen easily. The second kitchen is for other family members. Food is cooked for the rest of the family members and children. Actually, Isha’s children and their grandparents also eat non-vegetarian food. Since Hema Malini is very strict about pure vegetarianism and rules, she has made this dual system in the house so that no one’s choice is disturbed.
