The case of theft of offerings in Ram temple of Ayodhya is in the headlines these days. The ruling party is continuously attacking the central and state governments regarding this matter. Meanwhile, the statement of former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has come to light. He fiercely targeted the government and the temple trust management regarding theft of offerings.
According to the information, Digvijay Singh reached Ujjain on Saturday (June 27). During this, he visited Mahakal temple and met local workers. Along with this he also held a press conference. While talking to the media, he made serious allegations against the government regarding theft of donations in Ram temple. He made revelations on many issues including Champat Rai. Singh condemned the incident and described it as extremely tragic.
The Congress leader said that for the first time in the history of India, before and after independence, there has been such a government under whose rule a scam was taking place in the donation amount of the temple. He made a scathing attack on Champat Rai, who had resigned from the post of General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, saying that there is no one more dishonest and corrupt than Champat Rai.
The former Chief Minister said that a lot of donations were stolen in the temple of Lord Ram. About 12.5 crore people donated. There is no account of the earlier donation till date. He said that the receipt and account of the one crore rupees and silver stones given by Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has not been received yet.
Singh said that this is the RSS model of governance. He alleged that RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad are engaged in protecting those who steal donations in Ayodhya. He said that after the SIT report, an FIR was lodged in Ayodhya and instead of taking the culprits on remand, they were arrested and sent directly to jail. He said that these people are destroying Sanatan Dharma and betraying the Sanatani people.
Actually, this entire controversy started on June 7, when Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav raised the issue of alleged irregularities in Ram temple offerings. There was a stir after this news. After this, on the request of the Trust, SIT was formed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on June 13. SIT submitted its preliminary report to the government on 23 June. An FIR was registered in this case on the night of 25th June and on 26th June, Ayodhya Police confirmed the arrest of 8 named accused. Meanwhile, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust members Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have submitted their resignations from their posts.
