Delhi University (DU) has commenced the undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2026-27 academic session. Students who appeared for the CUET UG 2026 exam can now register on DU’s CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) portal.
Admissions to the university will once again be based solely on CUET UG 2026 scores. Admissions will be offered across 73 undergraduate programs and over 100 BA program combinations in DU’s 67 colleges.
Relief for CBSE Students Opting for Re-evaluation
Haneet Gandhi, Dean of Admissions at Delhi University, stated that CBSE Class 12 students who have applied for re-evaluation but have not yet received their revised marks should currently enter their original marks (pre-re-evaluation) on the CSAS portal. She added that once the updated re-evaluation results are declared, students will be able to update their marks on the portal. Students need not worry, as the CSAS portal will remain open for several weeks, giving them time to make changes.
What’s New in Registration?
This year, the registration process has been made easier and more secure. Details such as the student’s name, date of birth, photograph, signature, mobile number, and email will be automatically populated in the CSAS form from the CUET portal. These details cannot be modified. To register, students must enter their CUET application number and date of birth, followed by logging in using an OTP sent to their mobile number or email.
Registration Fees
UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS: ₹250
SC, ST, and PwBD: ₹100
Admission Process in Two Phases
In the first phase, students must register on the CSAS portal.
In the second phase, following the declaration of CUET results, students will select their preferred courses and colleges. The more course and college options students select, the greater their chances of securing a seat.
Subject Mapping is Essential
Students must align the subjects taken in the CUET with the subjects studied in Class 12. Incorrect subject mapping could affect eligibility for the respective course. The ‘General Test’ will not be mapped to any specific subject.
Exercise Caution When Entering Marks
Class 10 and 12 marks must be entered carefully. If a subject has separate marks for theory and practical components, both must be entered individually. These marks will serve as the basis in the event of a tie-break.
Document Upload Rules: Students must upload all necessary documents in a clear and correct format. The name on reservation-related certificates must match the name recorded in school records and the CUET application. Admission may be cancelled if incorrect or forged documents are found, and fees will not be refunded.
No Changes Allowed After Profile Lock
The university has clarified that once the profile section is submitted and locked, no further changes can be made. Therefore, students are advised to thoroughly verify all information before the final submission.
Choose Colleges and Courses Carefully
Students may select as many courses and colleges as they wish, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. Once the deadline for submitting preferences has passed, adding or removing options will not be permitted. The university advises students to regularly check the CSAS portal and the official DU website for all admission-related information, eligibility criteria, required documents, and the upcoming schedule.
