Material
for roll
Flour-2 cups
Sugar-2 tbsp
Butter-2 tbsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Milk-1/2 cup lukewarm
Water-1/4 cup lukewarm
Dry yeast-1 tsp
For cream filling
Whipping cream-1 cup
Sugar-2 tbsp ground
Vanilla essence-1/2 tsp
Method
- First of all, mix yeast and a little sugar in lukewarm water and keep it for 5-10 minutes. When it starts foaming, mix it with flour, salt, butter and milk and knead a soft dough. Cover the dough and keep it in a warm place for 1 hour so that it rises.
- Knead the risen dough lightly and roll out a thin sheet. Now cut it into long strips. Wrap these strips on a cream roll mold or steel cone.
- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Place the prepared rolls in a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until they become golden. Then let them cool and take out the mold.
- Add whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl and beat well until the cream becomes light and fluffy.
- When the rolls cool down completely, fill them with cream on both sides with the help of a piping bag or spoon. Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top. If you wish, you can also serve it garnished with chocolate sauce, colorful sprinkles or dry fruits.
tips
- If you want more crispiness then brush light butter on the rolls before baking.
- The rolls should cool completely before filling with cream, otherwise the cream may melt.
- To make chocolate cream roll, you can add 1 tablespoon cocoa powder to the cream.
