CBSE Result Update: There is a delay in the release of Class 12 re-evaluation results by CBSE, causing distress to lakhs of students across the country. According to reports, over 1.6 lakh students applied for the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation, and many are still waiting for the results.
According to CBSE, results are being released in phases; by June 21, results for 87 percent of the total applications had been declared. This implies that results for approximately 13 percent of students are still pending, a delay that has become a major cause for concern. As college admission dates draw closer, students are becoming increasingly frustrated and anxious. Consequently, the issue is garnering nationwide attention.
Growing Anxiety Among Students
It is worth noting that the CBSE re-evaluation portal closed on June 7. Following a long wait, frustrated students began voicing their concerns on social media and sending emails to CBSE seeking updates. One student posted on X (formerly Twitter) stating that while results for 87 percent of students were released on June 21, their status—along with that of many others—still shows “Under Process.” This is causing immense stress as college counseling deadlines approach. Another student expressed concern, noting that while other students have already begun preparing for their further studies, those awaiting re-evaluation results are stuck constantly refreshing the portal. Some students have also demanded access to their evaluated answer sheets and the revised copies, as they require complete documentation for admissions and subsequent verification processes.
Delays in the Admission Process
Several major national entrance examinations have already progressed; for instance, the provisional answer key for NEET-UG has been released, and counseling and admission processes are underway at many universities. Consequently, many students are worried about how they will complete these procedures without their final Class 12 marksheets. Some students report being unable to submit their marksheets where required, while others fear that if their updated results do not arrive on time, they might miss out on counseling rounds during the admission process.
How to Check Your Status
Students still awaiting their re-evaluation results can check their application status by visiting results.digilocker.gov.in. To do this, log in to your account on the DigiLocker website or app (or create a new account if you do not already have one). Locate and click on the ‘CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Board Result’ option on the homepage, enter the necessary details, and submit; the result will then appear on the screen. Additionally, students can download their scorecards from official websites such as cbse.gov.in.
