eSushrut@Clinic: Union Health Minister JP Nadda will launch the eSushrut@Clinic platform on June 29. This initiative aims to digitize and simplify services such as patient record management and appointment scheduling for small clinics.

Digital Health Platform India: On June 29, Union Health Minister JP Nadda is set to launch the eSushrut@Clinic platform to digitize small clinics and OPD services across India. This system has been specifically designed to make operations at small and mid-level health centers easier and more cost-effective.

This new system is tailored for clinics that lack the extensive facilities found in large hospitals. It enables doctors and staff to easily manage and store patient records, billing details, appointment schedules, and treatment-related information digitally.

What is the eSushrut@Clinic platform?

This platform is a cloud-based, lightweight Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) developed by C-DAC. The HMIS has been created under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Its objective is to enable small clinics across the country to utilize digital systems affordably, thereby facilitating better patient care.

The government notes that most small clinics still handle patient records, billing, and reporting manually or on paper. This process is not only time-consuming but also makes data security challenging. eSushrut@Clinic will transform this process, making it entirely digital and secure.

Where will eSushrut@Clinic be used?

PHCs (Primary Health Centres)
Health and Wellness Centres
Sub-centres
Private clinics

Regarding the cost, the service is priced at approximately ₹499 per month (for up to 5 users). With an NHA subsidy of ₹200, the effective cost will be ₹299 per month. Initially, however, this service will be available to you completely free of charge, with a fee of ₹50 per month for each additional user. Reportedly, over 800 healthcare institutions have already joined the platform.

Features offered by eSushrut@Clinic:

Digitization of patient registration, billing, and medical reports
Text-to-speech facility to record doctor consultations
Clinical Decision Support System to assist with treatment
ABDM-enabled digital health services such as ABHA and 'Scan and Share'
Secure, centralized storage of patient data
