AC Milan continue to be associated with several Portuguese internationals and players represented by super-agent Jorge Mendes, but the latest reports from Italy suggest that Manchester United’s Mason Mount has now been proposed as a potential signing for the Rossoneri.

The Serie A giants are entering a new era under the management of former Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim, who took charge following the departure of Massimiliano Allegri immediately after the conclusion of the 2025–26 season.

In addition to Allegri’s exit, Milan also parted ways with sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada, and CEO Giorgio Furlani in a broad restructuring move after missing out on Champions League qualification. A new management structure has since been put in place at San Siro, with Amorim working alongside director of player trading Hendrik Almstadt and director of football intelligence Bobby Gardiner.

Following these appointments earlier in the week, Milan’s transfer activity has accelerated significantly. The club has already finalised a record-breaking deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos.

Reports indicate that the Rossoneri have also reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with another Portuguese international, Antonio Silva, who, like Ramos, is represented by Jorge Mendes.

However, according to Milanpress.it, a fresh transfer opportunity has surfaced for Milan in the form of attacking midfielder Mason Mount.

Mount, who previously worked with Amorim during their time together at Manchester United, is said to be unsettled under the management of Michael Carrick at Old Trafford. Reports suggest that the England international no longer feels part of the club’s long-term project and could be open to a move during the summer window.

According to Sunday’s report, Mount has been ‘offered’ to AC Milan, with Amorim reportedly approving the proposal. The two clubs have already ‘exchanged information’, and Mount is believed to be valued at approximately €25 million.
