In a recent update, Fichajes has reported that Manchester United are keeping a close watch on Club Tijuana’s rising star, Gilberto Mora. The report suggests that the Red Devils are tracking the development of the Mexican international during the summer transfer period.
The 17-year-old midfielder impressed on several occasions with his attacking displays for Club Tijuana in the previous season. Mora scored six goals and provided one assist in 20 appearances for the Mexican side across various competitions during the last campaign.
Recognised as one of the most promising young playmakers in Mexico, Mora has already caught the attention of scouts abroad. Manchester United could benefit from securing his services before other clubs move in.
Mora remains contracted to Club Tijuana until the summer of 2029, which may prove challenging for the Red Devils if they attempt to negotiate a low-cost transfer in the current window.

The young midfielder has the vision to create decisive opportunities in attack and can find pockets of space to unleash shots on goal. Mora is also a confident dribbler, comfortable carrying the ball and linking play in advanced positions.
In addition to his playmaking skills, the Mexican talent has shown an ability to contribute with important goals. Although primarily deployed as a number ten, Mora is equally capable of operating on the left wing when required by his manager. Despite his promise, the Tijuana youngster is still developing and will need time to adapt to the demands of top-flight football. Whether he can acclimatise to the physicality and tempo of the Premier League remains to be seen, should Manchester United finalise his signing later this year.
Bringing in Mora could strengthen Michael Carrick’s attacking options at Old Trafford over the long term. The teenager has the potential to become a valuable squad player for the Red Devils in the upcoming seasons.
At just 17, Mora’s career trajectory appears highly encouraging, provided he continues his steady growth. With his evident talent and maturity, the youngster looks destined for a bright future, and Manchester United would be wise to intensify their pursuit before he becomes an unattainable prospect.
