A French man has been charged with rape and murder after a two-year-old girl was found dead in a home in Surrey, England. The name of the accused is Kevin Kerjian (31). He has also been accused of rape and harassment of a girl under 13 years of age. Police were called to a house in Pyrcroft Road, Chertsey, at around 5.40pm on Thursday (June 25, 2026) following safety concerns, where the girl was found dead. Surrey Police initially said the girl was 3 years old, but confirmed on Saturday (June 27, 2026) that she was two years old.
Kerjian, a French citizen born in the Central African Republic, appeared at Guildford Magistrates Court on Saturday (June 27, 2026) and was remanded until his next appearance at Guildford Crown Court. Detective Chief Superintendent John Groenen says that this is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the girl’s family and everyone who knew her.
