The undergraduate (UG) admission process for the 2026-27 academic session at Delhi University (DU) has commenced. Meanwhile, many CBSE students who have applied for the re-evaluation of their marks are currently awaiting their revised results. These students are wondering whether they can apply to DU at this stage. Clarifying the situation, the university has stated that students need not panic; they can apply based on their currently available marks.
According to DU’s Dean of Admissions, Haneet Gandhi, students whose CBSE re-evaluation results have not yet been declared can apply by entering their existing marks on the CSAS portal. Once the board releases the revised results, students will be able to log in to the portal and update their new marks. The university has also noted that the CSAS portal will remain open for several weeks, ensuring students have ample time.
**Admission Based on CUET Scores**
Admission to all undergraduate courses at Delhi University will be based solely on CUET UG 2026 scores. Seat allocation will be determined by students' CUET scores and their selected preferences for colleges and courses. The university has also clarified that the subject in which a student seeks admission must have been studied and passed in Class 12.
**Admission Process to be Completed in Three Phases**
DU's admission process will be conducted in three phases. The first phase involves online registration. In the second phase, students will select their preferred colleges and courses and complete subject mapping. The third phase will involve seat allocation based on CUET scores and preferences. Candidates must fill in all details carefully during the application process and pay the prescribed fee online.
