Rameshwaram (Tamil Nadu) [भारत]June 30 (ANI): Thousands of priests have been trained in mantras, abhishekam, investiture rituals, thevaram, thiruvasagam and divyaprabhandham of various deities. A total of 55 training camps have been organized since 1990.
The inaugural ceremony of the 56th Temple Puja Training Camp for village temple priests, organized by the Rural Temple Priests' Association, began at Rameshwaram Goswami Math-2. This program was organized by the trustee of the association, R.R. Gopalji and began with a ritual puja led by the camp's co-acharya, poet Vasanth Jagatheesan.
Ramanathapuram district organizer T Sudhakaran of the Rural Temple Priests Association delivered the welcome address, while state organizer S Somasundaram presented the introductory address. Chief Acharya, Rameshwaram S. After Bakshisivam explained the objectives of the camp, several dignitaries gave felicitation speeches.
These include Dr. V. Srivatsan, President of Chennai Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission; Seva Bharati district vice-president (Rameshwaram) M Sudalai; State joint general secretary RG Ramasuppu; and Advocate K Vijayakumar, Joint General Secretary of Coimbatore State.
The blessing was given by Thavathiru Kumaragurupara Swamigal of Sirvai Adhinam, Gaumar Math, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore. (ANI)
