Launching these initiatives, Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that building a healthy India is most important to achieve the goal of a developed India. Through these new schemes, people will be able to get many important health services at home without having to visit government offices.
The Health Ministry has launched a WhatsApp chatbot named ‘Ayushman Sarathi’ under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Its objective is to provide digital assistance to the beneficiaries round the clock. With the help of this facility, people will be able to avail many services to the scheme without calling any helpline or reaching the government office. JP Nadda said that this chatbot will provide secure and real-time service, through which people will be able to get necessary information and facilities more easily than before.
Through this digital facility, many tasks like checking eligibility, applying for Ayushman card, downloading the card, completing e-KYC and linking Aadhaar can be done. Apart from this, beneficiaries will also be able to lock or unlock their PM-JAY card. Services to Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card for senior citizens aged 70 years and above will also be available on this platform, so that the elderly will not have to visit different offices.
Through Ayushman Sarathi, patients will also be able to get the balance amount available for their treatment, treatment records and information about the nearest empaneled hospitals. Along with this, facilities like registering a complaint, knowing its status, requesting a callback and registering your reaction after being discharged from the hospital will also be available. The government believes that this will increase transparency in health services and citizen participation will also be strengthened.
A new version of the Arogya Setu app, which played an important role during the Covid pandemic, ‘Arogya Setu 2.0’ has also been launched. Now it will not be limited to only infection information, but will become a major platform for people’s digital health records. This application has been prepared under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and will work to ease access to digital health services.
Through this, people will be able to create their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Abha) ID, keep health records safe and visit hospitals. "scan and share" You will also be able to do digital registration through this facility. Not only this, beneficiaries will also be able to see information about their personal and family health insurance coverage in real-time.
The Union Health Minister also launched the Unified Health Interface (UHI). It is a digital network through which people will be able to search, book and use various health services from a single platform. The special thing about this system is that patients will not be limited to any one application. They will be able to easily access verified health services available on different digital platforms. The government believes that this will further strengthen the digital health system and citizens will be able to get better, faster and convenient health services.
