AIIMS CRE-5 Recruitment 2026: There is good news for candidates who have passed Class 12 and are aspiring for government jobs. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has invited applications for a massive recruitment drive for Group B and Group C posts. This is excellent news for candidates who have been waiting for government employment in the medical sector. Recruitment at AIIMS will be conducted through the Common Recruitment Examination-5 (CRE-5). Through this process, AIIMS New Delhi has announced the CRE-5 recruitment 2026 for 1,484 Group B and C posts across 28 different institutes; eligible candidates can apply online until July 3. The CRE-5 examination is a single-window system designed for the convenience of applicants. Candidates applying under this system do not need to fill out multiple forms or pay separate fees for different AIIMS institutes. Instead, candidates take the exam just once and can secure a position in any of the 28 participating institutes based on merit. These institutes include AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Patna, Gorakhpur, Rishikesh, Bathinda, and Nagpur, as well as ICMR and Lady Hardinge Medical College.

The recruitment drive covers posts across 57 distinct groups. These include a wide range of excellent positions such as Junior Administrative Officer, Assistant Dietician, Junior Engineer, Pharmacist, Nursing Officer, and Clerk.
Important Dates
The deadline for submitting online applications for these posts is July 3, 2026 (by 5:00 PM). Additionally, candidates currently employed in government service must submit their No Objection Certificate (NOC) by July 6 without fail. The status of form acceptance can be checked on July 9, 2026. Meanwhile, if everything proceeds according to schedule, the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted between July 25 and July 27, 2026.
Who can apply?
Educational Qualification: Responsibilities and qualifications vary by post. Candidates ranging from those who have passed Class 12 to graduates can apply for Clerk and Assistant posts; good computer typing speed is required for these roles. Specific degrees are required for technical and medical posts. For instance, a diploma in Pharmacy is required for the Pharmacist post, a graduation degree in the relevant trade is mandatory for Junior Engineers, and a B.Sc. degree is essential for Lab Technologists.
Age Limit: The age limit for most Group-C posts is set between 18 and 30 years. However, for certain technical posts, the limit extends to 35 years. In accordance with government regulations, SC/ST candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation, while OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates will receive a 3-year relaxation.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories must pay a fee of ₹3,000 to appear for the exam, whereas the fee is set at ₹2,400 for SC, ST, and EWS candidates. Persons with disabilities (PwD) are completely exempted from the application fee. For SC/ST candidates appearing for the exam, the application fee will be refunded to their bank accounts after the results are declared.
