LPG rules changed from July 1st:
The government has recently implemented new rules regarding gas cylinders. Now, the next booking in urban areas can only be made after 25 days, while in rural areas, the booking can be made after 45 days. Additionally, an OTP will be mandatory for gas cylinder delivery, and failure to complete e-KYC could result in the disconnection of the service.
Why are domestic gas cylinders still so expensive?
LPG prices remain high due to tensions in the Middle East, supply concerns, and rising prices in the international market. Since India imports a significant portion of its requirements, the impact of the global market is directly felt domestically. However, crude oil prices have softened slightly in recent times. If this trend continues, the prices of domestic gas cylinders could also decrease in the coming months.
